Patience is necessary to breed and gently care for the Angora rabbits. The manufacture of the wool; the spinning and dyeing all takes its own unhurried time.

The complicated techniques are mastered; the steps for weaving are delicate. It’s a labour of passion. The result is both soft and durable at the same time.

As Aristotle said.

Edweave follows this idea, with all the work expressing the nature of this simple

and sincere expression.

Weaving on a traditional hand loom fully respects the Angora wool, which by its delicacy, is difficult to exploit using industrial weaving. Angora wool requires, and deserves, great attention to detail.

The wool can be woven in different patterns and can be plain, tartan of two to six colours, with one or more borders, or patterned.

A chemist by profession, one day, Edwige decided to change her life so that it corresponded to her profound values. Without having a specific project, she left work, her adopted area and her friends...

Returning to where her family lived, she’s fascinated by her niece's loom in her living room. Textiles have always held a passion for her so she decides to learn how to use it.

She wakes one morning with an idea in mind: weaving Angora wool.

It becomes her obsession and the talk of her family. She has always seen her mother and aunts knitting by her during the coldest winter hours.
