There are more than thirty French Angora breeding centres in France.

Our partner is local. The "ferme de l'angora" (Angora breeding centre)

is located 22 miles from the Buret studio, in the region of Mayenne.

Their wool is harvested by manual and periodic combing, respecting the animals which only feel the passage of the comb through its hair.

The wool is also spun and dyed in France by specialized companies. The spinning is done in the Hautes –Alpes region and then the dyeing is carried out in the Indre region.

Please pay special attention to the source of your Angora wool products - the "Chinese" Angora is regularly singled out because of the cruel methods of harvesting from the animals! Our wool is cruelty-free.

Angora wool is six times warmer than lambswool.

The finished woven material will not need to be washed often, especially

as Angora doesn’t get dirty easily. This is due to the protective layer of cutin on the hair fibres that help keep the rabbits clean. This natural fibre protection continues even after weaving the wool.

The wool we use is of the highest quality, composed of 80 % Angora and

20% lambswool. The colour "Ecru" is the natural colour of the long hairs

of the Angora rabbit.

Woven products should be washed separately by hand in cold water

with a wool shampoo.

When woven, hairs will protrude from the strands of wool, and some will dislodge over time. This is a normal and natural process of products using Angora wool.

To remove hairs that are sticking out and also to plump up the downy weave, lightly brush the wool.
